Overview

Dr. Jen McDonald came to M with a clear goal to create a website that matched the warmth and trust families experience when working with her.

As a board-certified pediatric neuropsychologist, Dr. Jen is deeply respected in the field, but many parents only found her after weeks (or months) of frustration with misdiagnoses, ineffective tutoring, or one-off “ADHD testing” clinics.

Her approach to neuropsychological evaluations is unique in the area, but wasn’t coming through in the digital space.

She needed a website that:

  • Communicated authority without clinical coldness
  • Spoke directly to exhausted, overwhelmed parents
  • Clarified the value of comprehensive evaluations (vs. one-size-fits-all assessments)
  • Felt trustworthy, empathetic, and easy to navigate

Strategy

When planning for a build, we are always mindful of the users you are trying to reach and the actions they will want to take.

Our strategy for Sound Psychology Services focused on three primary objectives:

1. Increase Clarity & Functionality

Overwhelmed parents visit the site looking for answers quickly. The new structure prioritizes:

  • Clear explanations of the evaluation process
  • Transparent communication about pricing and insurance
  • Simple navigation to FAQs and next steps

We removed friction and ensured users could easily understand what Dr. Jen offers and how to move forward.

2. Strengthen Positioning & Service Differentiation

The previous site did not clearly communicate what makes Sound Psychology Services different from other competitors. We repositioned the practice around:

  • Board certification and clinical authority
  • Comprehensive (not diagnosis-limited) evaluations
  • A whole-child, long-term approach

This helps visitors immediately understand the value of her services and why they differ from one-off ADHD or autism evaluations.

3. Improve Conversion Pathways

The primary audience is new families seeking answers. The secondary audience includes existing clients who need ongoing access to information. We structured the site to support both.

For new clients:

  • Quickly find process and service information
  • Build trust through credentials and tone
  • Contact or begin the evaluation process

For existing clients:

  • Easily reconnect
  • Access FAQs
  • Opt into communication updates via newsletter signup

Results

Since launch, the site has significantly increased Sound Psychology Services’ visibility.

  • Website traffic is up 128.36% year-to-date compared to last year.
  • Organic traffic has increased by 23.5%.

More families are now finding Dr. Jen through search and without additional ad spend.

Beyond traffic growth, the new site clearly positions her as the go-to Pediatric Neuropsychologist in the area.

The result is a website that reflects the level of care and expertise she’s built in her practice and makes it easier for the right families to take the next step.
