Role Title: Project Manager

Job Type: Full Time / Starting Pay: $70,000 annually

How We Work at M

As an award-winning, full-service creative shop, M Agency partners with growing businesses to elevate their brand, bring their unique vision to life, and convert prospects into paying customers. Across an array of industries, we become a natural, collaborative extension of our clients’ marketing teams—not a third-party vendor.

Like any agency worth its salt, we’re results-driven. Team members work with top-notch talent and subject matter experts, delivering difference-making work to help businesses thrive. But more critically, we’re people-centered. We have an exceedingly low tolerance for big egos, and high praise for those with a strong communication-via-GIF game. Plus, our core values are more than just a page on the agency intranet. They inform everything we do, and are built around the concepts of:

  • Environment: Show up as your truest self. We’ve got each other’s backs.
  • Collaboration: We communicate, connect, and create together.
  • Appreciation: Hard work deserves some praise.
  • Discipline: We define what we’ll do. Then we do it—promptly.
  • Profitability: Without it, we can’t keep being the best.
  • Growth: For our people’s careers and our clients’ success.

Why This Role Exists

Great work happens when ideas and execution flow together seamlessly. The Project Manager ensures M’s projects move from concept to completion smoothly, on time, and on budget, while keeping clients and internal teams on the same page. The central hub for communication, coordination, and problem-solving, you’ll ensure every initiative meets client expectations and the agency’s high standards.

What You’ll Drive

  • Set up new projects in project management tools and ensure timelines, deliverables, and goals are clearly defined.
  • Fully manage multiple projects to ensure completion on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate with Account Directors and team members to ensure projects meet client goals.
  • Attend client meetings to align expectations and gather critical information.
  • Coordinate freelancers, vendors, and team members to remove roadblocks.
  • Manage project off-boarding and ensure all client deliverables are finalized.
  • Report on team capacity and project workload.

You Might Be a Match If…

  • Problem-solving energizes you—you naturally identify obstacles and figure out solutions quickly.
  • You thrive on organizing complex projects while managing multiple priorities simultaneously, leading through ambiguity to enable success.
  • You love coordinating with both clients and team members to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • You’re proactive, resourceful, and confident making decisions that keep projects moving.
  • You have keen interpersonal and emotionally intelligent communication skills.
  • You can balance big-picture thinking with meticulous follow-through.

What Success Looks Like…

First, you’ll familiarize yourself with M’s team, process, and clients, integrating into workflows right away. It’s your job to innately understand team capacity, drive work to defined deadlines, and build trust with clients and colleagues alike. As the client’s main point of contact across the project portfolio, you’re a voice both internally and externally to ensure M’s trains are running on time.

You’re comfortable juggling projects and priorities, removing roadblocks, improving workflow efficiencies, and proactively communicating—whether the news is welcome or worrying. You’ll work with Account Directors and CX Managers, becoming a trusted leader who ensures projects consistently meet deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.

The Particulars

M offers the flexibility to work based on your schedule, either remotely or in-office (depending on location), and benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) program; and two weeks paid time off (initially; PTO grows with tenure) plus 10 paid holidays a year. This full-time role reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with Account Directors, POD Creative teams, Digital teams, and Customer Experience Managers. You’ll also serve as the client’s main point of contact through the project.

  • 3+ years of project management experience, ideally within a marketing or creative agency
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools such as Wrike, Asana, Trello, or similar
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and resources simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, freelancers, and vendors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across different audiences
  • Ability to handle pressure, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities gracefully
