Tacoma-based Content Creator

Job Type: Contracted* / Starting Pay: $40/hour

*Opportunity for growth into a full-time role. M Agency hires all full-time employees based on demonstrated capacity and success in a role, as well as growing needs within the business.

How We Work at M

As an award-winning, full-service creative shop, M Agency partners with growing businesses to elevate their brand, bring their unique vision to life, and convert prospects into paying customers. Across an array of industries, we become a natural, collaborative extension of our clients’ marketing teams—not a third-party vendor.

Like any agency worth its salt, we’re results-driven. Team members work with top-notch talent and subject matter experts, delivering difference-making work to help businesses thrive. But more critically, we’re people-centered. We have an exceedingly low tolerance for big egos, and high praise for those with a strong communication-via-GIF game. Plus, our core values are more than just a page on the agency intranet. They inform everything we do, and are built around the concepts of:

  • Environment: Show up as your truest self. We’ve got each other’s backs.
  • Collaboration: We communicate, connect, and create together.
  • Appreciation: Hard work deserves some praise.
  • Discipline: We define what we’ll do. Then we do it—promptly.
  • Profitability: Without it, we can’t keep being the best.
  • Growth: For our people’s careers and our clients’ success.

Why This Role Exists

Every brand has a story worth telling—and telling well. The Content Creator is our storyteller, visual artist, and creative spark rolled into one. You’ll craft engaging, on-brand content which connects with audiences, supports client strategies, and fuels marketing campaigns across digital platforms. Your work will help bring our clients’ voices to life, strengthen their presence, and inspire their communities to take action.

What You’ll Drive

  • Create compelling written, visual, and multimedia content for social media, blogs, email campaigns, websites, and marketing materials.
  • Capture and edit photography and video for client and agency use.
  • Collaborate with directors, copywriters, designers, and project managers to develop content aligning with client goals and brand voice.
  • Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Conduct research to ensure accuracy and support content development.
  • Optimize content for SEO, engagement, and platform best practices.
  • Monitor trends in digital marketing, social media, and storytelling to keep client work fresh and relevant.
  • Assist in brainstorming and pitching creative concepts for campaigns and ongoing marketing initiatives.

You Might Be a Match If…

  • You’re a natural storyteller with a knack for making complex ideas feel simple and engaging.
  • You thrive in a creative, collaborative environment and enjoy working on a variety of projects at once.
  • You’re comfortable switching between writing copy, shooting photos, and editing video.
  • You’re detail-oriented and take pride in producing polished, on-brand work.
  • You’re curious, resourceful, and constantly seeking inspiration from trends, culture, and technology.
  • You can balance creativity with strategic thinking, ensuring your content not only looks good but drives results.

What Success Looks Like…

Under the guidance of the Account Director and Art Director, you’re producing high-quality content that aligns with client strategies, hitting deadlines, and earning positive feedback from both clients and the internal team. You haven’t been here long, yet you’re already a trusted creative partner on multiple accounts, contributing fresh ideas, managing content calendar efficiently, and improving engagement metrics for client campaigns.

In time, you’ve steadily elevated our clients’ storytelling and built a strong library of impactful, on-brand content. You’re helping shape M’s creative approach to digital marketing and mentoring others on content best practices.
